How do I get the video from my dv recorder onto my pc? - pc digital video recorder

I have a JVC camcorder model no. GR-D366EK. The software that is about only seems to get photos from your hard drive. Can I see the video on the tape directly on the PC so not recognize that for some reason my PC is connected via USB DVC.
